Ace Of Spades - Review

This time we will be having Ace Of Spades in for a review, i just bought this game this weekend and it turned out to be one of the most ridiculous games i ever played. Its only funny 'cause its like Minecraft and Team Fortress in one simple game, and i think the one who came up with the idea for this is a genius, but that doesn't change its ridiculoussness. It was first launched by a danish guy named Michael Kaerlev and a american whose name is Ben Aksoy. Last November JAGEX bought the rights and published it in December. But lets get started.

Gameplay

The gameplay is quite nice, but then again i think it was much better in the beta they had in their browser but some things are nice at the new. There are 4 classes in the game; Commando, Marksman, Rocketeer, Miner.
Commando has a Machine-gun or a Rocket-Launcher as first weapon, as second he has a little shitty pistol and a grenade or a Snow Blower as equipment.
Marksman has a sniper rifle and a pistol, and then he has mines as equipment.
Rocketeer is just ridiculous he has a Jet-pack, and a SMG. No matter if you build up a Trench or anything like a moat or the walls the Rocketeer can just fly directly over it and whoop your ass.
Miner is probably the coolest class, cause of his option to make tunnels for his team.
There is also 4 different game modes; Territory control, Capture the flag, Diamond mine, Zombie.
  • The point of Capture the flag is to take the enemy intel and bring it back to friendly Command Post. The team which captures the most amount of intels, wins.
  • The point of Territory control is like where you have 2 bases and then there is a neutral base, that you and the enemy have to fight for.
  • The point of Diamond mine are where you have to find a diamond and take it to the your base.
  • The point of Zombie you can choose to be a zombie or kill zombies. This is the most boring game modes of them all.
The game is a first person shooter of course, the gameplay is a bit good but i could of have been better.

Graphics

The Graphics are very ''pixel'' made, much alike Minecraft but a bit smoother.
It could get some improvements but all games can. But there isn't alot about the Graphics, other than if you haven't tried out Minecraft, then just imagine alot small squares and visual pixels.

Advantages/Disadvantages

Advantages
  • Great pastime
  • It can sometimes be funny to play with you friends

Disadvantages
  • Not quite finished game
  • Absolutely not worth its price
  • Many bugs, and there may be alot of crashes
  • The jet-pack is just ridiculous

Final comment

So overall this game is in my opinion at the category; Bad.
The only thing i like about this game is the miner, i think that the Rocketeer is way to OP.
So i don't recommend you guys to buy this game. Its expensive and it have more bugs than you can imagine.

Orcs Must Die 2 - Review

2

It's time for a review, and this time it will be the game Orcs Must Die 2, by Robot Entertainment, that we will put in the searchlight. The game is the same style as Dungeon Defenders, that means it's a Tower Defense game, but instead of a top/down view, you play it as a 3rd person game.
Lets begin!

Gameplay

Just a picture of the OP gun
In Orcs Must Die 2, your task is to stop the orcs, trolls and other monsters before they have been through the level. You can do this by using traps, weapons, trinkets and other magical and clearly not magical things. You start out by choosing if you want to be man or women, each have some special weapons. I chose the man and got a pretty powefull gun that kills all the orcs.. Or something...

For every level you complete you will earn skulls, those skulls are used to upgrade traps, weapons, etc. in the spellbook, this can make a big difference, and you should take your time to do it. In every level you have a number of lives. It depends on the level and which difficulty you are playing on. The levels take place on mostly a castle and the area around. The longer you come in both the individual level and in the game itself it gets harder and harder.

You have the possibility to play online both with some people you've never met, but also with your Steam friends, and this really make the game much funnier, as with many games that have both single- and multiplayer, so be sure to try that out too, if you get the game.

It's fast to start, and only and bit confusing menu, as it's difficult to get right to the online part of the game. But  it isn't anything you think much about.

That was a little short Gameplay part, but there really isnt much.. You slay orcs and monsters and it's hilarious.

Graphics & Music

The graphics are a toony style, which is perfect for this kind of game, so not much to say there other than it gets you in mood to play more. The game wouldn't have been much fun if it had Skyrim graphics.

Another thing to get you ind mood are the music. It really gets you in action mode, and is just great composed. And also the characters comes with funny lines a bunch of times through the game, which also give a plus.

Advantages/Disadvantages

Advantages
- Great for pastime
- It's cheap
- It's funny
- Got some great music
- Multiplayer mode

Disadvantages
- A bit of confusing menu
- Can get really hard at points

Final comment

So overall Orcs Must Die 2 is a really good game, that you can play for hours and hours with your friends and alone. It's cheap and have cool graphics and music. I can nothing but recommend the game to everyone!

Assassin's Creed III - Review

Once again its time for another game. This time i will be looking at the game Assaissin's Creed III by Ubisoft, this game was expected by thousand of gamers and fans waiting for this game to come out and when it did the game was quickly sold. I been playing this game for about 2 months i completed the game a month ago and now im just enjoying the online play. But lets get started.

Gameplay

The Gameplay in Assassins Creed III is just amazing. You have as player alot freedom and you can travel along side the American east coast. The player can steal, make assassinations on many different ways, ride on horse, sail ships in the Atlantic ocean, hunt in the forest and climb around on houses to get easier around and faster. You also have a large amount of weapons to choose between, there is the known Tomahawk in and there is also bow, axes, knifes, swords, rifles and alot other.
There is a special pistol called Duck-foot which have 4 runs, which means you can hit 4 with one single shot, but you have to practice alot with it. These weapons can be found by stealing from soldiers or weapon leaders, that you killed.

Although the free part of Assassin's Creed is a major element, then i personally like the campaign most. It is really implemented, and I haven't played many games that have had such a complete history. You start as the protagonist Haythem, who is the father of Connor, when you have completed some missions, then Connor is coming into the history.

Missions are well made, you really fell like you are in a universe that is in the 1800s. Ubisoft says that every person you assassinate in a mission, lived back there and had a central role in the American civil war. Sometimes you get back to the present, there you have the control of Desmond who gets some missions. This is the only thing in this game i dislike, its only a small part of the game and it isn't destroying the game.

Another part of the game is the music, it just gives a feeling in your body, for example. the music changes itself as soon as you are persecuted or are running around on the roofs, to a kind of action music, it affects the body to be more upbeat, but it is typically so concentrated around the game, so you would typically not be able to reproduce the melody behind.

Also as a new thing in Assassin's Creed III is that you can now climb around in the woods, which gives a good advantage of hunting and ambushes.

Advantages/Disadvantages

Advantages

- Good and thorough history.
- Beautiful and realistic graphics
- Good Gameplay and natural controls.
- You are able to do whatever you want.

Disadvantages

- Minor bugs (ex. when you can't attack)
- Not the best Online/multiplayer seen.

Final Comment

So all in all, Assassin's Creed III is a really good games, and are worth all the money, if I had tried the game before I bought it, I had been ready to give one hundred dollars for it, which I think most others would have done too. The graphics are good and realistic, and the same is the gameplay. And on top of the entire pool, you get to learn some of the history of the united states in a fun way.

Thanks for reading this review hope you enjoyed it.
