Rise of the Guardians - Movie Review

21.14.00

Monday morning in the spring break. Checking the mail. And right there, in the middle of the mail there is BLU-RAY and DVD version of  Rise of the Guardians from Paramount and DreamWorks. So i sat down with a bowl of candy and chips, turned on the TV and watched the movie.
Well this is kinda out of the normal topic on the blog, but why not make a special review? Let's get right to it!

Short summary

Rise of the Guardians are about the different holiday characters and the different creatures that children
believe in. It's Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy and Sandman. Those are all guardians and are protecting the children against the darkness.

The main character is Jack Frost, who is a teenager having fun with the children, but he ain't a guardian and can therefore not be seen by humans.

Suddenly the darkness come to life and begin to give children nightmares and slowly every child begin to loose their hope and faith for the guardians, this means that all the guardians are getting weaker.

To help them they have Jack and they fight against the darkness and help each other with their daily job as guardian.

At the end everything is good, Jack becomes a guardian and are more happy than ever.

Your thoughts?

My thoughts is that it is a very interesting movie with a great storyline and fun jokes. It is also lovely to see a different view on the well known "guardians", Santa Claus being aggresive and having a sword, the Easter Bunny being pumped and Sandman being amazingly strong. That is just some of the quite special things about the movie that makes it awesome.
So i'm glad that this is what children have to watch today, sure the Disney movies back then, when i was a child, were awesome, but those today are so beautiful and it is clear to see that there have been worked really hard on it.

Is it worth to see?

Well, it is, if you are a child, childish or just love amazing animation.
If you are likely to see movies like Die Hard, James Bond, Avengers, etc., then Rise of the Guardians will not be in my top ten recommended movies for you, but if you have a child that haven't become teenager yet, then this movie would be great. And as said, the animation is stunning, and that is really worth noticing.
