Believe it or not. Microsoft announced that Age of Empires II will be remade in a HD version. At first i thought that it was an April Fool, but it is coming for Steam on the 9th of April 2013, and are already able for preorder, so i actually think it is quite serious.

This is basicly what i have been waiting for since i got my Windows 7 computer and have tried to play Age of Empires II on it, and the graphics isn't really working.

They will not remake much about the gameplay itself, but instead they improved the graphics, the multiplayer experience, a better visual engine and multimonitor possibilities.

You can preorder the game and get 10% off at Steam, but even without the discount the game only costs 19€ ($24,86), and it is a quite affordable price, for such an epic game. I found the trailer for you below.
